Before And After

Non Extraction 1

Crowded arches occurs when the amount of tooth material trying to squeeze into the available amount of bone is too excessive.  The options available are to either create more bone and archwidth to accomodate the teeth through expansion (non-extraction), or to simply make less tooth material present (extraction).  The option chosen depends on several issues, including amount of crowding, angulation of teeth, profile esthetics, etc..   This is an example of a non-extraction treatment, in which arch expansion was  completed and preferred, resulting in beautiful alignment and preservation of the facial profile.
